Help! London's Burning!

This term we are going to become Fire Fighters in training and be learning about fire safety, the impact fire has on towns, how the equipment used has changed since in the past and time travelling to 1666 to investigate the Great Fire of London.

Today, Year 1 have participated in lots of exciting activities about fire to start our new topic. We created fire poems using lots of amazing adjectives to describe what fire looked, smelt, felt and sounded like. In English, we wrote our top tips to help keep other children safe when there is a fire. Year 1 also engaged in different art based activities such as blowing paint to make flames, printing and making burning cities and collage fires to add to 1B's Great Fire of London display.
